SDC Bioinformatics DATa ENvironment
The SDC BioDATEN project, which was proposed in collaboration with a number of different partners from Tübingen, Konstanz, Heidelberg, and several other institutions, received a funding recommendation. The project is scheduled to begin in the middle of the year and will be carried out as part of the third eScience funding line of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Culture in Baden-Württemberg. The project complements efforts related to Virtualized Research Environments (ViCE), bwSFS, and bwHPC-S5 activities, with the goal of establishing long-term infrastructures for qualified research data management in bioinformatics.
