We pose the question of what a socially relevant literary studies can look like – for example in the context of globality and diversity: What texts does the archive hold that articulate experiences of globality? How can literary history be told in a way that conveys the world knowledge of literature? What happens when literary history is told from the perspective of race, gender, or class?
