Description

The research questions and hypotheses published in the preregistration on 6 May are answered in the submitted paper. The focus is on three measurement points (control, pre-intervention and post-intervention) and the correct use of prepositions in the cloze tests before and after the intervention.

Kanli, E., Wiesinger, E., Wolf, J., Meurers, D., Sering, K., Berens, F. (2025-05-06). Does the multilingual comparison of constructions facilitate learning? An analysis of the acquisition of the Spanish prepositions a and de after motion verbs through mono- and multilingual pedagogical construction grammar. Registry ID: #24080.1v1. Additional details

Data quality

Accuracy

The data indicate how often the prepositions in the cloze text (n=22) were used correctly at the various measurement points (control, pre, post).

Completeness

The data represents only an excerpt from the extensive research project Digital Multilingual Pedagogical Construction Grammar (DigiMultiPedCon) (2024-2027).

Conformity

NA

Consistency

NA

Credibility

The pre-registration and the submitted paper describe in detail how these tests were used and what type of intervention took place between the second and third measurement points (pre and post).

Processability

The data was analysed in R-Studio. The corresponding codes are attached here.

Relevance

The data show the intervention effect and the 'business-as-usual' effect measured by the RCT experiment.

Timeliness

NA

Understandability

The research questions and hypotheses are already defined in the pre-registration. With the help of the data set and the R scripts, the procedure makes both the descriptive statistical and the inferential statistical analysis transparent.
