Variable Binding into a Central Adverbial Clauses and a Peripheral Adverbial Clauses using three negative QPs niemand 'nobody', kaum jemand 'hardly anyone', keine NP 'no NP'
Description
This experiment tests potential Principle C violations across clauses.
Variable Binding was used as an experimental tool in order to investigate the degree of integration of the German peripheral adverbial clause introduced by adversative während 'while, whereas', and the German central adverbial clause introduced by temporal während 'while' into their main clauses. Three types of negative QP were used as binders: niemand 'noobody', kaum jemand 'hardly anyone', keine NP 'no NP'.
