Identity, Discourse and the Transformation of Turkish Foreign Policy since 2011
Description
ID & TFP project uses data that has already been produced and is publicly available. However, the data is not specifically produced for the project. The data for the project is collected as new data. The data is available and freely accessible on various websites managed by the government or the state of Turkey.
The first data group comprises statements and speeches by Turkey's leading foreign policy decision-makers, such as the president, foreign minister, national security minister, and government advisors that set out, justify, and defend the government's foreign policy actions and practices.
The second group of data is the Think Tank sources. The Foundation for Social, Economic and Political Research (SETA) is the main government-affiliated foreign policy institute in Turkey and has played a key role in the foreign policy formulation during the 2010s and the early 2020s.
The final group of sources comprises the discourses of the opposition political parties and social groups in Turkey, such as women's rights groups.
