Description
These multimedia materials were curated for the exhibition Dhun / Dhūnī: The Fires of the Name, presented at the University of Vienna in at the YDYS conference in Paris in 2026, and for the accompanying Multimedia Essay on the OMnibus of MANTRAMS. Dhun turns to the popular material culture of the Name of Rām. Here, the mantra of Rāma appears in the vibrant textures of everyday devotion. Japamālās, posters, printed repetitions of the Name, textiles, and other devotional objects demonstrate how the mantra circulates through homes, temples, and public spaces.

The material is clustered into ZIP-files according to galleries referenced on the OMnibus of MANTRAMS in the corresponding multimedia essay: 1. Introduction and Saturation of the Many Rams (G1), 2. Ram of Ram Raj (G2), 3. Sagun and Nirgun (G3), 4. Tulsidas Ram (G4), 5. Kabir Ram (G5), 6. Digital Lok (G6), 7. Conclusion and Death (G7). Each gallery can contain multimedia material. Files names contain identifiers following the following scheme: DHUN-G[1-7]-[consecutive number], G1-7 corresponding to the galleries listed above. MANTRAMS_TF3_Larios_RC6_DHUN-G1-014_20250812.jpg would be the 14th file in gallery 1 (Introduction and Saturation of the Many Rams) and stored in the corresponding ZIP-file of gallery 1.

Note that due to the mode of file collation during fieldwork, all three record creators have contributed significantly to the collection and need to be credited as a group, regardless of project file naming conventions.
