Description
The paper analyses the disagreement about the relationship between consumption levels and quality of life. Firstly, it provides an interpretation of the long standing controversy. It results from divergent assessment of the importance of particular components of one's quality of life within the overall account of one's quality of life. Secondly, it argues that the controversy about the relationship between consumption levels and quality of life can be decided on the basis of evidence and moral reasoning.
