Perfective aspect and present tense in performative utterances

Description

This experiment tests the influence of aspect on time reference interpretation of performative sentences.

20 Targets (performative Sätze; jeweils 10 ipf und 10 pf), 20 Baseline (Sätze in Vergangenheit), 40 Fillers

List 1 = Performativa 1-10 pf and 11-20 ipf + Baseline 1-10 ipf and 11-20 pf + Filler

List 2 = Performativa 1-10 ipf and 11-20 pf + Baseline 1-10 pf and 11-20 ipf + Filler

Two versions: skip and no skip

 a. No skip

After a context appears the target sentence which the participants have to interpret according to time reference and push an arrow key for their answer ( past, I present,  future)

b. Skip

After a context the target sentence appears in sequences; push an arrow key ( past, I present,  future) as soon as you recognized the time reference; verb tense
